emberaide is committed to making its website and future product usable by people with disabilities, including people with visual, hearing, motor, cognitive, neurological, and speech disabilities.
1. Our target
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. WCAG is a technical standard, not a one-time certification, so accessibility is treated as continuing design, development, testing, and content work.
2. Measures we take
- Use semantic headings, landmarks, labels, lists, and controls that work with assistive technology.
- Support keyboard navigation with visible focus and no keyboard traps.
- Maintain sufficient color contrast and avoid relying on color alone to communicate meaning.
- Allow text resizing and responsive reflow without requiring horizontal scrolling for ordinary page content.
- Use plain language, short sections, visible bullets, consistent navigation, and reduced visual overload.
- Provide text alternatives for meaningful images and hide decorative images from assistive technology.
- Respect reduced-motion preferences and avoid flashing or unnecessary movement.
- Label form errors clearly and keep instructions close to the field they describe.
- Combine automated checks with keyboard, zoom, screen-reader, and human review as the service develops.
3. ADHD and cognitive accessibility
WCAG is the baseline, not the ceiling. emberaide also prioritizes predictable layouts, visible next actions, manageable information density, forgiving time limits, clear recovery choices, and language that does not shame unfinished work.
4. Current limitations
Some pre-release product illustrations represent planned interfaces and are not yet interactive controls. The roadmap is intentionally wide and may require horizontal scrolling at smaller widths. We are continuing to test these areas and will provide equivalent information in structured text.
5. Compatibility
The website is designed for current versions of major browsers and common assistive technologies. Older browsers or unusual combinations may behave differently. Users should be able to navigate core content and submit the beta form using only a keyboard and at increased browser zoom.
6. Legal and standards context
Accessibility obligations vary by organization, service, and location. In the United States, the Americans with Disabilities Act guidance explains nondiscrimination and effective-communication responsibilities for covered entities. In the European Union, the European Accessibility Act applies to covered products and services, including certain e-commerce services, from June 28, 2025. emberaide’s technical target remains WCAG 2.2 Level AA even where a law references an earlier WCAG version.

If you encounter a barrier, need information in another format, or need help completing a task, email hello@emberaide.com. Please include the page, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology or browser used if you are comfortable sharing it. We aim to acknowledge accessibility feedback within five business days.
8. Ongoing review
We will update this statement as the product, testing process, and applicable standards change. A statement does not replace the work; reported barriers will be prioritized based on impact and the importance of the affected task.
