This Privacy Policy applies to the emberaide website, beta waitlist, product communications, and any emberaide service that links to it. Additional notices may be provided when a new feature collects information in a materially different way.
1. Who is responsible for your information
emberaide is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Questions and privacy requests may be sent to hello@emberaide.com.
2. Information we collect
We collect only the information needed to provide, improve, protect, and communicate about emberaide. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:
- Contact information: first and last name, email address, and communication preferences.
- Waitlist and research information: the challenge you want help with, beta cohort information, survey answers, interview notes, and feedback you choose to provide.
- Account information: login identifiers, plan, subscription status, settings, and support history when accounts become available.
- Product content: projects, tasks, ideas, notes, brain dumps, deadlines, preferences, and corrections you intentionally submit to the service.
- Usage and device information: pages viewed, feature interactions, approximate location derived from IP address, browser, device, referring page, timestamps, and security logs.
- Payment information: billing status and transaction records. Payment card details will be handled by the payment provider rather than stored directly by emberaide.
- Consent records: when and how you requested beta communication, accepted optional marketing, or changed a privacy or cookie preference.
emberaide does not require an ADHD diagnosis or medical record to join the waitlist. Please do not submit medical records or highly sensitive personal information unless a feature clearly asks for it and explains why.
3. How and why we use information
4. Automated assistance and AI
emberaide is designed to use automated systems to help organize information, suggest priorities, build plans, and adapt suggestions based on feedback. Product outputs may be incomplete or wrong and are intended to remain reviewable and editable by the user.
We do not use waitlist information to make a solely automated decision that produces legal or similarly significant effects. Materially different automated decision-making will be explained before it is introduced.
5. When we share information
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose it only as reasonably necessary to:
- service providers that host the website, store data, deliver email, process payments, provide customer support, or help operate approved analytics;
- professional advisers and authorities when required to comply with law, protect rights, or respond to valid legal process;
- a successor in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate protections; or
- another party when you direct us or give specific consent.
Current infrastructure may include Cloudflare for hosting, Supabase for database services, and Resend for email delivery. Analytics or advertising providers are described in the Cookie Policy when enabled.
6. International transfers
Providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where data protection law requires a transfer mechanism, we rely on an applicable safeguard such as an adequacy decision, the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, or a provider’s valid certification.
7. How long we keep information
- Waitlist information is kept while the request is active and for no longer than 12 months after the final Founding 100 cohort closes, unless deletion is requested sooner.
- Marketing information is kept until you unsubscribe; a limited suppression record may be retained to honor that choice.
- Security and diagnostic logs are generally kept for a short operational period unless needed to investigate misuse or meet a legal obligation.
- Account and product information will be kept while the account is active and deleted or de-identified under the retention schedule disclosed when the service launches.
- Records required for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, or legal claims may be retained for the period required by applicable law.
8. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a portable copy of personal information; object to certain processing; withdraw consent; or appeal a denied request. You may also have the right to opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or sharing as those terms are defined by applicable law.
Email hello@emberaide.com to submit a request. We may need to verify your identity. You may unsubscribe through any marketing email without affecting requested beta communication. If European data protection law applies, you may complain to the supervisory authority where you live or work.
9. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed for the nature of the information we process. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so we also encourage users to avoid submitting information that is not needed for the service.
10. Children
emberaide is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. If we learn that we collected a child’s personal information without appropriate authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as emberaide develops. The revised date will appear above. If a change materially affects how previously collected information is used, we will provide additional notice and seek consent when required.
