This policy explains how emberaide uses cookies and similar technologies on its website. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small files placed on a browser or device. Similar technologies include pixels, tags, software development kits, local storage, and identifiers that can recognize a browser, remember a choice, measure a visit, or help understand whether an advertisement led to an action.
2. What the website uses today
The current emberaide marketing website uses infrastructure needed to load pages, prevent misuse, and maintain basic security. We do not intentionally activate nonessential analytics or advertising pixels for visitors who must consent unless and until an appropriate preference control is available.
3. Categories we may use
4. Consent and your choices
Where consent is required, nonessential analytics, functional, and marketing technologies will remain off until you make an affirmative choice. Accepting them will not be required to view the basic website or join the beta waitlist. This approach follows the European principle that saying no should be as easy as saying yes.
- Accepting and rejecting nonessential cookies will be presented with equally clear choices.
- Categories will not be preselected.
- You will be able to make granular choices and later withdraw consent as easily as it was given.
- Withdrawing consent will not make earlier processing unlawful.
When nonessential tools are enabled, a persistent Cookie Settings control will be added to the website before those tools load in regions where consent is required. Browser controls may also block or delete cookies, although doing so can affect requested features.
5. Third-party providers
Third-party tools may receive device, browser, page, campaign, and interaction information according to their own privacy terms. The specific providers, purposes, and durations will be disclosed through the cookie preference control when those tools are active.
6. Retention
Cookie durations depend on their purpose. Session cookies expire when the session ends. Persistent cookies remain for a stated period or until deleted. Consent records may be kept as needed to demonstrate and honor your selection. We will avoid durations longer than reasonably necessary for the stated purpose.
7. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when technologies or legal requirements change. Questions about cookies or tracking may be sent to hello@emberaide.com.
